WHAT IS THE OBSA?
The Okanagan Business Students’ Association (OBSA) is comprised of students registered in courses at the Okanagan School of Business (OSB) – any student is eligible to join the committees. The operations of the Association are chiefly carried out in the Okanagan College campuses of Kelowna, Vernon, Salmon Arm and Penticton. The OBSA — a registered society under the Societies Act — is administered centrally through the Kelowna campus.
The Association has two key aims: to connect Okanagan School of Business students with the business community, and to provide a means for OBSA members to develop their leadership and business skills outside of the classroom. To accomplish these aims, the OBSA holds several events throughout the school year, ranging from large-scale networking events to smaller thought provoking conversation panels.
LATEST EVENTS & NEWS
The Okanagan Business Students’ Association is honoured to invite Okanagan College students and staff to the biggest in-person event we've hosted in two long years!
The upcoming OBSA Conversation Panel brings our student body and local business professionals together to speak and engage in a casual, moderated dialogue that's relevant to the challenges both students and business professionals have had to overcome throughout the past few years.
OBSA Connect Presented by BDO is the only networking event that provides students of the Okanagan Valley with the opportunity to connect with leading local businesses in a dynamic setting, as evidenced by the integration of both modern and traditional forms of communication amongst tastings of local beer and wines.

"Through my academic career, OBSA events added value to my time by facilitating meaningful connections with professionals in the community, creating opportunities to network with my peers, and help relieve some of the stress of completing a degree. Keep it up!"
"As a local small business owner I have found great value in attending OBSA events as I have been able to make amazing connections with individuals in my community. I truly think these events are a great outlet for students to be able to grow their networking skills in a safe and supportive space amongst their peers."
"The OBSA is an avenue for me to apply what I learn in class to the development and execution of events that connect students with the local business community. The team of OBSA members is an inclusive and motivated group that helps me grow as an individual and that shares the common goal of making the most of our time at the Okanagan School of Business."
